Pauley Hargenrader, Stacy Siegel and Jill Spence, co-chairs of the Mayfest 5K Fun Run/Walk went Thursday, July 6, 2023 to present a check for $3000.00 to the Wolf’s Corners Youth and Agriculture at Wolf's Corners Fair Ground representing the Mayfest Community Assocation.
Each year MCA donates it proceeds from their 5k to a deserving nonprofit in the area. The 2023 theme of our event was “Feel Like A Kid Again!” and the committee unanimously felt that the Wolf’s Corners Youth and Ag was the perfect fit as our beneficiary this year.
Profits this year made possible by over 100 participants and the help of our Major Sponsors:
1st United National Bank, the FUN Bank
Greco Lander and Shekell Law Office
Farmers Mutual Fire Insurance
Zacherl’s Farm and Market
Pale Whale Canoe Rental
Allegheny Estates, LLC
Gary Henry’s Garage
Pest Management
Woodmen Life
This $3000.00 will help to grow a fun filled organization for local children to learn about the agriculture in our area. Thanks to all who helped make this possible.

Wolf's Corners Youth and Agriculture was chosen this year to enhance our "Feel Like a Kid Again!" theme, wanting to focus on the youth of our area. The area has a strong farming heritage and this being an agriculture educational program for local children, it was a perfect fit!  Living on a farm is not necessary to become involved, there are things to do for everyone. Youth in the neighboring counties between the ages of 3 and 18 are welcome to join their monthly meetings at Wolf's Corner Fair Grounds so they can learn about agricultural opportunities in the community. Wolf's Corner Youth and AG also hosts educational programs and livestock shows throughout the year, as well as various opportunities to give the youth a hands-on experience with farm animals to improve their showmanship and market presentation skills. We would like to invite you to come Run or Walk in our 5K to support their efforts, with the proceeds of our race helping them meet their financial goal to build a new barn at Wolf's Corners Fair Grounds. If you are unable to join our race and would like to help, donations of any size will be greatly appreciated. Make checks payable to Mayfest Community Association, PO Box 116, Fryburg, PA 16326. Please identify the Wolf's Corner Youth and Ag in the memo.
