2023 "FEEL LIKE A KID AGAIN"
5K FUN RUN
will benefit
WOLF'S CORNERS YOUTH AND AG

Wolf's Corners Youth and Agriculture was chosen this year to enhance our "Feel Like a Kid Again!" theme wanting to focus on the youth of our area. The area has a strong farming heritage and this being an agriculture educational program for local children, it was a perfect fit! Living on a farm is not necessary to become involved, there are things to do for everyone. Youth in the neighboring counties between the ages of 3 and 18 are welcome to join their monthly meetings at Wolf's Corner Fair Grounds so they can learn about agricultural opportunities in the community. Wolf's Corner Youth and AG also hosts educational programs and livestock shows throughout the year, as well as various opportunities to give the youth a hands-on experience with farm animals to improve their showmanship and market presentation skills. We would like to invite you to come Run or Walk in our 5K to support their efforts, with the proceeds of our race helping them meet their financial goal to build a new barn at Wolf's Corners Fair Grounds. If you are unable to join our race and would like to help, donations of any size will be greatly appreciated. Make checks payable to Mayfest Community Association, PO Box 116, Fryburg, PA 16326. Please identify the Wolf's Corner Youth and Ag in the memo.

The weather held out for our event honoring Doug. His wife Julie and grandson and furry friends led the racers in Doug's Razor. His family as well as fellow workers, fire fighters and friends were in attendance for the dedication of the bench that was places at the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department in Fryburg, a gift from CP Leach, VFIS and the WTVFD. As the dedication was about to begin the unit was called to a neighboring fire and was quickly sent back while a rainbow was seen overhead. We had over 110 cross the finish line, and many more in attendance.
Our sincere thanks to our Sponsors and Volunteers who make the event possible. A donation will be given to the WTVFD in Doug's memory from the profits of this event.
